About the Hillcrest High School Trust

The Hillcrest High School Trust (HHST) was registered in 1987. According to the Trust Deed, the objectives of the Trust are to ‘provide funds for the education, betterment, advancement in life and general well-being of the pupils and staff [of Hillcrest High School] in perpetuity of the school, including the provision of bursaries for pupils at the school’.

The Trust has four key priorities enshrined in its plan for the period 2020 - 2024:

  1. Scholarship Programme – funding and supporting underprivileged students to come to Hillcrest High School
  2. Past Pupils and Supporters’ Association – establishing an active HHS Past Pupil and Supporters’ community engaged with the school
  3. Capital projects – supporting the development of the multipurpose centre and other strategic capital projects
  4. Staff welfare – enhancing the HHS value proposition to attract and retain high quality staff at the school

The current HHS Trust executive is Chairperson Mbongeni Michael Ndlovu (HHS Head Prefect in 2007) and Vice - chairperson Sven Kraunsoe (HHS class of 1991).
