Resource Facilities


Hillcrest High School boasts some of the finest resource facilities to be found in any South African school - state or private. In 2003 our Media Centre was awarded the ELITS Provincial Library Award for Excellence. Information Technology enjoys a high priority and our facilities are the envy of many private schools. The Drama Department has its own theatre (called The Cage), and the Art Department has an extensive studio. The Kingfisher Room on the main field is the venue for the Supporters Club and is part of our expanding clubhouse facility.

Additional Facilities
  • We employ staff over and above the Departmental ration to keep class sizes down and standards up.
  • We offer remedial help through computer-assisted learning programs in Mathematics.
  • We have extensive, well maintained sports fields, a large swimming pool and three tennis courts, and are thus able to cater for a wide range of sports.
  • We have three mini-buses used for excursions and tours.
